Happy Monday everyone! I hope you have a great start to your week. We just got back from Maui, so I was not feeling up to getting back to work this morning. Regardless, I’m looking forward to getting back into our routine.
Recently, someone asked me what my favorite print was to wear to the office. I love polka dots, florals, and geometric designs as much as the next person, but nothing really compares to plaid. I feel plaid just makes an outfit so classy and timeless. It never really goes out of style, and it is a safer pattern to wear for those in a more conservative office.
I paired this cute plaid pencil skirt with a simple sweater. Houston has been cold the past couple of days, so I added a pair of black tights for warmth. I finished the look off with some red ankle boots. If you are really wanting to pull your entire look together, you could find an office-appropriate red lipstick to wear; this would tie the boots in nicely. Overall, this outfit consists of some great staple pieces that many of you already have in your closet. Next time you are needing some outfit inspiration, reach for plaid.
