Some people might laugh at me, but it has been a little cold in Houston the past few days. I think the humidity makes it seem colder than it actually is. Either way, I have been wearing a jacket to stay warm.
One of the biggest styling challenges I have found is wearing a coat to work. Obviously, you want the jacket to be warm, but you don’t want it to clash with your outfit or look unprofessional. Plus, you might not have hundreds of dollars to drop on a coat. Thankfully, I have found the perfect solution. J.Crew Factory’s City Coat is an excellent choice, and it’s under $70 right now thanks to a sale. I personally love the camel color, but they have a plethora of other options to chose from. The coat fits true to size, but I should mention it has a boxier fit. I think they designed the coat to fit a little looser, so you can wear bulkier things underneath such as a sweater.
I have had this coat for over a year, and it still looks brand new. It might not be the highest quality coat out there, but it is hard to compete with the price tag. It is a wool mixture, so I would recommend dry cleaning. Overall, I have been very happy with this coat, which is why it is my find of the week.
